Hello,
It’s been a long time since we released our first Free WordPress Plugin, wpCJ Testimonials.
Today, we have released our second one wpCJ Chimp. What this plugin does, is to subscribe your new blog users to your MailChimp list automatically.
You just need to copy the MailChimp sign-up code and it will add those MailChimp fields to your WordPress sign-up form.
We hope you find it useful! Let us know what do you think about it.
Hello,
We are very pleased to announce the release of our first email campaign… after one year of operations!
I hope it worths the delay. By the way, we want to thanks the guys behind MailChimp. They managed to make the whole process a piece of cake!
If you want to check our first campaign, please visit its online version here… but I would recommend you to join our newsletter so you don’t miss the next one!
MailChimp Regards,
Will
Since the very moment we launched wpCJ, we began to receive emails asking us to provide a more flexible license that could be cost-effective to those people with several domains.
Because of the way our flagship plugin is designed, we could not jeopardize the overall stability of our script by allowing a large number of domains to get connected to Commission Junction at once by only one license.
But today we are happy to announce that our internal testing are over and that we are very proud of the outcome. The core of our script had been redesigned and now we made a better use of the resources. We took advantage of some subtle but important changes that the WordPress team had made to the way their plugins “talks” and behave so if your blog is running on the latest version of WordPress, you are going to feel the difference… although it will still work pretty well in your 2.7+ WordPress blog.
These changes allowed us to launch a more flexible licensing model. From now on, wpCJ has three types of licenses, Basic, Standard and Premium.
Even more, if after you had bought your copy of wpCJ you found yourself short of domains credits, you can buy additional ones! wpCJ grows with you!
Finally we can move ahead and continue doing what we like the most: Adding new features. Stay tuned!
For a few days, we will be giving a 50% off in our plugin wpCJ!
Just use the promo code XMAS in the checkout page and you will get out plugin at half its price!
Hurry up! It is valid until December 24th, 2009!
Perhaps you know… perhaps you don’t.
We have released a new WordPress plugin.
This time, it is a GPL plugin named wpCJ Testimonials and it’s hosted at WordPress.com.
The plugin homepage is here.
We hope you like it!
We have great news to you all!
So far, we have being giving every new customer a special bonus. It consisted in two additional uses per license (so every license could be used in up to three different domains).
After a serious talk with our pillow we said —heck! Let’s make it official!
So here it is… the solemn announcement…
(Drums, please!)
Enjoy it!
PS: By the way… we are looking for volunteers to make the speech in our videos… I would really like to make it myself but… my english if far from good not to mention my voice! So if you think you have the voice for the job, let us know!
We had a lot of fun this weekend! We added tons of new cool features!
Take a look at the Version History page for details… However, This are the coolest features:
All these features can be tested in our demo site or you can see them in a fully productive website, built completely with wpCJ! at http://nightvisionlens.com
We still have many cool features waiting to be coded, so stay tuned!
If you have any suggestion, please, let us know!
I’m glad to inform you that we have implemented a new feature that might be useful.
In the Products Module, once you have selected the products you want to promote and has selected the Create-A-Post option in the bulk-actions list, you will be asked about the POST STYLE that you want to create.
A POST STYLE can be either STATIC or DYNAMIC.
A static post is a standard post: The details of all selected product will be saved with the posts as any other information you add to your posts.
A Dynamic post is a post that has a pointer to the actual product. It means that the product details and layout does not reside in the post but in the template used to display it and the wpCJ database.
What are the benefits? Well, that you can change the way the all products looks and the information it shows, automatically -for all the posts that uses a given template- AT ONCE. Furthermore, if you use the new pseudo-code [CHOOSE:option 1|option 2|...|option n] in your templates, you can make the content of every post to looks different everytime it is shown. It’s a little funny feature but… It’s up to you to use it or not… It would be great for bots though.
For instance, we have added around 100 products to our demo site, all of them are Dynamic posts. If I need to make a little change in them, I would just need to change the template. If it were a static post, I would need to make 100 changes.
We have also launched a site about Night Vision Lenses with around 1300 product-related posts. All statics.
What are the cons of a Dynamic post? If any process in WordPress (another plugin, for instance) needs the details of a given product, it won’t be able to read it from the posts. For instance, the frontpage of the the Night Vision site mentioned above, search inside the posts and use the first image it encounters as the thumbnail shown in the homepage. If it were dynamic posts, it couldn’t be possible.
So, the decision is in your hands:
You have the last word…
Today we have been testing every single feature of our plugin, wpCJ, and we can certify that it is fully compatible with latest version of WordPress, code nameĀ Baker, WordPress 2.8.
We had to made some minor changes so if you are on WordPress 2.8, please be sure to have wpCJ version 0.024 or later installed.
We already knew it… but now, two independent consultants certify it.
EConsultancy and eMarketer, reveals that in the latest US census, Commission Junction is the leading affiliate network by almost 20 points ahead of a distant second place. CJ obtained a solid 50%!
The census, dated March 2009, asked the respondants to choosed up the three networks based on the revenue obtained from them.
And this is the result:

This is another good reason to join Commission Junction and to use wpCJ as your prefered WordPress Plugin!
